| On behalf of the Hillingdon Hospital
Neonatal Unit, The Light of the World Trust has launched an
appeal towards the cost of purchasing life saving equipment
for premature babies.
If you would like to help these precious infants in their
fight for survival, details of how to make a donation can
be found on the Donations page.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion and generosity.
The neonatal unit at Hillingdon hospital operates
as a level 2 neonatal intensive care. We have a huge intake
of patients ranging from 24 weeks premature infants to term
infants requiring intensive, high dependency and special care.
The neonatal unit has 8 intensive/high dependency
care cots and 12 special care cot capacity. We have a close
working relationship with other units in the Region particularly
referral for neonatal surgery.
The aim of our neonatal unit is to provide the
highest standard of individualised patient care in a warm,
relaxed and friendly environment. We actively encourage participation
from the parents, siblings and family members in the care
of their babies. We have conducted surveys of families who
have used our services and these reveal positive feedback
that we provide holistic care for the babies and their families.
The increasingly high technology and advances
in neonatal field have positively transformed the outcome
of neonatal survival rates. However, this has also increased
the neonatal budget in terms of purchasing of equipment and
the disposables. We would be very grateful for any donation
that will help us in the purchase of some of the equipment.
Examples of the cost of the equipment are as
follow:

Hot water mattress and cot |
£ 4,000.00 |

We welcome your support in this worthy cause.
Thanking you in anticipation. |
